Despite talks of joining the Lightning next season, Daniil Pylenkov has signed a 2 year contract extension with Dynamo Moskva in the KHL. He now won’t be eligible to come over until he’s 26 in 2027.

Sounds like an ELC is on the horizon. Not done yet and things can always change. Don't be surprised if Nabokov is loaned back to the KHL for a season if he does sign.

Sounds like Nabokov will be making a decision on his future pretty soon. Avs think very highly of him and would love to get him to NA.

Dmitri Simashev who just won the Gagarin Cup with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of the KHL confirms me he’s joining @utahhockeyclub for the next season. Simashev, 20 yo D, was drafted 6th overall at the 2023 NHL Draft. He played all 20 games for Loko in the playoffs scoring 1 assist
