Folks, it's relay season! The 2025 edition of our annual community relay race kicks off this Saturday at 1pm EST / 7pm CEST wherein our finest runners race in six games for their team's fame, glory, and absolutely no payment - because this is Dreadzone, baby!

RaC1 NG has changed a bit since the first WR with Poki Skip a few months ago. Ataappi has now taken the wheel, pushing the category to not just the first ever 17, but the first 16 as well! This puts Ataappi over 1.5 MINUTES ahead of second place, an unreal feat in this category.

This is unreal. RaC1 NG WR now features Poki Skip! NeverNaber came outta nowhere just *two months ago* after being inspired by new discoveries.
Today they completed their grind of nearly 3000 attempts with their first ever WR, dethroning Franz's 4 year reign over the category!

Ataappi achieved this by mastering tricks that others wouldn't, namely Poki Skip and Dust Hovers.

Over in Deadlocked, a new skip has been unlocked! Load Cancelling, used to beat NG in 6 minutes, has found a use in Any% thanks to the work of Robo, mobius, and isaki. Through some file shenanigans, runners Scaree and Yugi have already beaten the No LC Any% WR by 25 minutes!

A new runner has ripped the RA PC boards apart! Teedex, who submitted their first run just 3 months ago, has already managed to claim WR in all 5 categories of the PC version of Rift Apart!

Speedrunner Torrbullen after only running Ratchet UYA for two years has showed off a route never before seen on a marathon stage involving launching yourself with a box using the suck cannon. The trick being used on almost every level completely changes the game. Originally discovered way back in April 2021, this is the first time it has been apart of an event!

Speedrunner AyoPentali just made history performing POKI SKIP on a marathon stage for the first time ever after the tricks original mystery appeared 5 years ago and the first performance of the trick in November 2023.

And push down times they have! Over the past 2 months, Torpadorp has improved all of the ToD WRs, claiming the first Sub Hour in AGB, the first Sub 2:20 in 100%, the first 45 in Any%, and an absolutely incredible first 32 in NG !

Torpadorp has just swept Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction! After first getting the WR sweep back in 2022, they've made a resurgence this year to reclaim WR in all 4 categories! Be sure to stay tuned as they continue to push down these times in the Future...

Whenever we see stories like this we're all in awe. It's inspiring to see a new runner taking on the most difficult tricks without fear and setting a new benchmark for everyone to follow. Huge, huge congrats to NeverNaber!
