We did our βmarket researchβ and found peopleβs favourite pancake toppings beforehand and set up this little pancake station yesterday. ππ₯
It was non stop pancakes all day and we loved it π

For our 2024 newsletter round up, our Storage and Outreach Manager Caroline wrote an incredibly touching piece around the theme of connection.
Here is some of what she wrote. To hear more #StoriesBehindTheStorage, sign up to our newsletter buff.ly/3XfHJ4e
ALT Background is a picture of paint brushes in a pot. Text says: #StoriesBehindTheStorage. From our recent newsletter.
ALT Text says: I am reminded of FF who had a whole folder of art work amongst her belongings. Up until that point she had hunched shoulders and her eyes were heavy.
Image in bottom left corner is of an open suitcase with clothes and a toiletries bag in. There is also some art work and paint palette.
ALT Text says: When together we opened the folder she doubled in height and her eyes began to sparkle.I asked her more and she told me how her mother had taught her to paint as a little girl and that since her mother died, painting continued to be a huge connector for her to her mother.
ALT Text says: Today we have some of FFβs beautiful artwork adorning the Street Storage walls which keeps our connection strong too.
Image below text is of a cartoon painting.

1/3 @CamdenBrewery for the 4th time we ask you to explain why this was told to us by a Hampstead based choir wanting to raise funds for Street Storage last month. To date you have neither denied nor explained.
ALT Quote: ".....the central marketing team at Camden Brewery weren't happy with our choice of charity. It is company policy not to support any charity that has potential links to alcohol abuse, so they reject any homelessness charities...."
2/2 "Were homelessness charities going out on the streets handing out pints of Camden Hells then perhaps your argument would hold more weight" Street Storage (Jan 2025)
