1/3 As an ex A level Home Ec pupil...Yes! The best subject I ever studied for teaching life skills, nutrition & food. I studied Food & Consumer Mang at degree level, became a food technologist, now food lecturer.
2/3 We have a terrible attitude towards Home Ec & food based education in general - it's not academic, it's just cooking, it's what the 'not very bright children do'. Yet this subject not only teaches life skills......
