This is just a reminder to make small projects! I had been looking at The Zone by @raphdamico for awhile. It looked beautiful, but I wasn't 100% sold. As a fill in, my group played his "Raised By Mechs" last week, and we loved the prompts so much, I bought The Zone the same day.

Anyway, make small, cool things for the joy of it when you can! Everything that you are doing builds people's trust in you! If you are looking for a place to start, check out some game jams!

Art is about restraint as much as it is about expression. In writing, for example, one asks: "what is to be said?" and "how is it to be said?" *and also* "what need not be said?" 1/2

Songbirds is such a beautiful game in general, and I am always down for some eldritch weirdness, but this chart? This chart lives on my desktop for use in literally every game. It's genius, and with very little modification can fit in any system I've played.

I have been on a journey, friends. Those who know me may know two things: One, I have seen staggeringly few films. I like movies, but I rarely choose to watch them. Two, I know absolutely nothing about cars. So of course, I have decided to watch every Fast and Furious. 1/

F9! So, despite an incredibly wobbly premise, and the arrival of John Cena, this one feels like it knows all of my critiques before I make them. I say, "John Xena can't be related," they acknowledge it. I say, "How does Rome keep surviving this?" he brings it up. /27

Between adding characters and bringing some back, the movie does get a bit crowded, but the biggest issue is that the whole thing feels a bit flat. There are moments where it feels like it might be becoming something, but most of it feels like filler. Overall, mid. One to go! /28

I just accidentally created a piece of environmental storytelling for when my home is inevitably explored by an RPG protagonist.
