#WUF13 came to a close in Baku, our biggest Forum yet. 57,000 participants from 176 countries, incl. 3,000 online. We welcomed 11 Heads of State & Government and 88 ministers. The Baku Call to Action made it clear - housing must be at the centre of sustainable urban development.
Today, we are graced by the presence of the DSG @AminaJMohammed at #WUF13 in Baku.
At a time when cities are shaping the future of the #SDGs, her participation adds important momentum to the global dialogue on #housing, resilience and urban solutions that leave no one behind.
Yesterday at the opening of the Canada Pavilion in the #WUF13 Urban Expo, we also marked the 50th anniversary of Habitat I, the first UN Conference on Human Settlements in Vancouver in 1976.
A powerful reminder that partnerships remain at the heart of the global urban agenda.
