In 131 days, google will lock down android, forcing you to only be able to run official google approved apps. Many open source devs will not comply with google, and will be unable to have their apps installed on android phones. This is a perfect opportunity for those who were on the fence about grapheneos to make the switch, as these devices will be unaffected by this change. I hope app devs continue their important work despite a shrinking userbase, but we can help by getting away from official android builds PM me anytime for tips on graphene and how to make the switch (i really should make a group on here)

Went to deep clean my AKV after nasty rain at Kalashbash, and since all the parts were off I thought I might as well try on the kit I won last year… I liked it a lot better than I thought I would. Killed an Allen Key getting the furniture off. Been sitting on this for year…

Absolutely dragged a friend who I’ve been trying to get to shoot a competition with me for two years, and he had a BLAST (bought his $250 shooter’s ticket so he HAD to come). He got to see me in my element and met a bunch of my cool friends. He’s always planning for KB next year.

Side note - when function testing the Stizon Kit, I discovered that the ejector has totally failed and won’t even grab rounds anymore. But PSA is sending me a kit with extra parts, so hopefully soon I’ll be good for another ~ 10k rounds.

Honestly blessed that it ‘sort’ of worked during the match. It was hard work, but I finished every stage.

You want context? Here's context. On July 17, 2022, an active shooter entered the Greenwood Park Mall and emerged from a restroom with a SIG M400, an M&P-15 (LOL), and a Glock 33 (LMAO). He immediately killed 1 person outside the restroom and began firing into the food court, killing 2 more innocent people and injuring 2 others. Elisjsha-Big-Swingin-Dicken, 22 years old, was at the mall with his girlfriend. He was carrying a Glock 19. No optic, no comp, no carry cuts, no stendo. Just a stock pistol with sights that had been damaged in a motorcycle accident (and an Olight, holy shit). Elisjsha, after removing his gigantic nuts from the wheelbarrow he carried them in, positioned himself in line-of-sight of the shooter while accounting for potential civilian bystanders. Bracing himself against a pillar, he engaged the threat at 43 yards, from one end of the food court to the other. He quickly fired 2 rounds, waited for line-of-sight to clear, then fired 2 more. From that distance, 2 of the 4 landed on target. He moved to close, firing 4 more at 20 yards with all 4 on target. He continued closing and fired 2-for-2 from 7 yards. Shooter down, 8-for-10 hits. The photo rendering represents the initial engagement distance. The entire incident, from the shooter's first round fired until Eli's last, took only 15 seconds. The threat was identifed, engaged--with movement--and neutralized before you could even read the first paragraph of this post. Make of this what you will, but here are the facts: Elisjsha Dicken had minimal training. He wasn't former LE or MIL, let alone a member of any elite unit. He didn't get special permission to carry concealed over any other civilian like this dogshit federal bill proposes. He was a regular person who took seriously his responsibility to be armed and prepared, and, if necessary, meet evil with extreme prejudice.
Not based. Extremely ghey, actually. Big swingin Dicken would like a word.

This pretty sick!
New feature for the GunCAD Index: you can now browse ZIPs before you download. See if that pack has that one stipple, or make sure that complicated build has good documentation (i.e. isn't 300B). Go check it out: guncadindex.com/detail/The-G…

I almost forgot!! Today is Cultivated Laser's birthday! 7 years ago, I started Cultivated Laser in a 1 car garage, and had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. It all started so that way we didn't have to put our son into daycare and make some extra cash while spending more time with our family. 7 years later, we are an EMPIRE of laser engraving! We have a proper workshop, employees, and make some of the most bad ass laser engraved gear on the market, period. When we started, everything was so haphazard. Using recycled materials to pack and ship orders, doing everything manually. None of us had any formal business education or training. Over time, we implemented standardized shipping, SOP on making products and processes. The better the efficiency, the happier we are. Still have no idea what I'm doing, but trying to be better at it every single day. We have shipped over 30,000 orders now over the course of 7 years and have made more than 100,000 patches. SOOOOO many other badass items that I have forgotten about some of the stuff we have made lol. And all that to say, it feels like we haven't even hit our stride yet. There are so many other things that I want to do. I am only limited by hours in the day. Thank you all for coming along for the ride, and making this a reality for our family. I am still surprised and humbled every day that folks want the things we make, and are willing to spend their hard earned money to support our little manufacturing operation. It has exceed every plan and goal we have set, and there is still plenty more to come!! Video and picture are the first items I ever engraved on a laser.
