You want context? Here's context.
On July 17, 2022, an active shooter entered the Greenwood Park Mall and emerged from a restroom with a SIG M400, an M&P-15 (LOL), and a Glock 33 (LMAO). He immediately killed 1 person outside the restroom and began firing into the food court, killing 2 more innocent people and injuring 2 others.
Elisjsha-Big-Swingin-Dicken, 22 years old, was at the mall with his girlfriend. He was carrying a Glock 19. No optic, no comp, no carry cuts, no stendo. Just a stock pistol with sights that had been damaged in a motorcycle accident (and an Olight, holy shit).
Elisjsha, after removing his gigantic nuts from the wheelbarrow he carried them in, positioned himself in line-of-sight of the shooter while accounting for potential civilian bystanders. Bracing himself against a pillar, he engaged the threat at 43 yards, from one end of the food court to the other.
He quickly fired 2 rounds, waited for line-of-sight to clear, then fired 2 more. From that distance, 2 of the 4 landed on target. He moved to close, firing 4 more at 20 yards with all 4 on target. He continued closing and fired 2-for-2 from 7 yards. Shooter down, 8-for-10 hits. The photo rendering represents the initial engagement distance.
The entire incident, from the shooter's first round fired until Eli's last, took only 15 seconds. The threat was identifed, engaged--with movement--and neutralized before you could even read the first paragraph of this post.
Make of this what you will, but here are the facts: Elisjsha Dicken had minimal training. He wasn't former LE or MIL, let alone a member of any elite unit. He didn't get special permission to carry concealed over any other civilian like this dogshit federal bill proposes. He was a regular person who took seriously his responsibility to be armed and prepared, and, if necessary, meet evil with extreme prejudice.
Not based. Extremely ghey, actually. Big swingin Dicken would like a word.
