This is not even funny anymore.
Imagine spending years stacking up a skill.
Putting in the hours, making the sacrifices, finally getting to the point where you can earn from it - and then boom.
Light fails you.
Not because you're not qualified. Not because the opportunity wasn't there.
Just light. Just NEPA doing what NEPA does.
And we haven't even started talking about the payment systems.
We've been saying this for years.
The frustration isn't new. The conversation isn't new. But somehow, the problems aren't new either.
Hear me!
If you're a fellow Nigerian, the time for waiting is over.
Nobody is coming to save us -not the government, not the grid, not the system.
We have to rise and start building things for ourselves.
Our own solutions. Our own infrastructure. Our own way forward.
The skill is yours. Don't let the circumstances keep collecting the reward for it.
Nigeria keeps happening to people, when will this end?💔
I had to reschedule an interview with a candidate today and I understood that it wasn’t his fault.
For few weeks now, they’ve not had light, if at all it comes on, it lasts for 30 mins, he said he usually charges at his neighbor’s place but the man did not put on his generator today.
He has also lost an opportunity previously because of this.
What is going on? It’s never been this bad, People keep losing opportunities, if it’s not light issue, it’s network issue 🤦
