If you live in the UK, are above 18 and where you live is currently holding an election consider voting for green 💚
You do not have to agree with everything they say, but currently to vote for green is about standing up for what’s right and against prejudice. #VoteGreen
Avatar: The Last Airbender is widely regarded as the highest rated cartoon of all time, praised for its strong storytelling, rich world building, and lasting cultural impact.
Honestly, until the last couple episodes I truly think Korra S1 is just as good as ATLA S1, mainly the first half.
I think it does such a good job of setting itself up in the same universe as ATLA while strictly keeping itself as different with a different story to tell.
Korra is a great protagonist and I really appreciate how they set her up to be such a pollar opposite to Aang.
I like the world-building around republic city and its 1920s inspiration.
I genuinely think Amon was brilliantly built up, legitimately interesting and intimidating.
I have a few more positives I love like Tarlokk and his ideology, Tenzen etc.
However, my main issues did start to come at:
- Bolin and Mako aren’t good especially when you compare them to how amazing the characters are in ATLA.
- the ending is incredibly rushed and goofy.
