Unpopular opinion: Natural marijuana is getting blamed for problems that have more to do with how modern marijuana is being grown and processed.
Humans have been using cannabis for centuries. Now we’re seeing more reports of people experiencing issues, and nobody seems willing to ask why.
Could it be that today’s products are fundamentally different from what people used historically?
Just like natural tobacco gets lumped in with heavily processed cigarettes, natural cannabis often gets lumped in with highly modified, commercialized products.
I don’t smoke and I’m not recommending it, but I think it’s fair to ask whether contamination, pesticides, heavy metals, and other chemicals used in cultivation and processing are playing a bigger role than most people realize.
If someone chooses to use cannabis, the conversation should be about quality, sourcing, and purity rather than pretending all products are the same.
