HONOURABLE MINISTER HANNATU MUSA MUSAWA'S CULTURAL DIPLOMACY: ENGAGEMENTS WITH CHINA AND SOUTH KOREA
Over the past few days, the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa (
@hanneymusawa), has been actively advancing Nigeria’s cultural diplomacy and creative economy across Asia, from China to South Korea.
In China, she participated in the Golden Panda International Cultural Forum, where she spoke on the power of culture to unite nations and reshape global narratives. She also met with her Chinese counterpart to strengthen ties between both ministries, enhance communication, and facilitate cultural exchange. In addition, the Minister engaged Trip. com, one of the world’s leading travel agencies, to position Nigeria as a top destination for global tourism.
Continuing in South Korea, she met with Makestar, a leading K-pop company in talent management and merchandising, to explore collaborations that connect Nigeria’s creative sector with Korea’s global cultural exports. She also signed a landmark MoU with SOOP Co. Ltd, a global unicorn in digital creation and livestreaming, to empower Nigerian creators, strengthen the digital ecosystem, and open new investment channels into the sector.
These past days of strategic engagements reflect Nigeria’s rising influence, as our arts, culture, tourism, and creative industries continue to emerge as powerful drivers of collaboration, innovation, and economic growth.
