I can’t even really imagine the hypothetical where somebody can control me unjustly and I cannot severely hurt them as a consequence. My imagination sort of just crashes. P weird and interesting.

From a longtermist pov, the argument for a coordinated long pause on AI is extremely robust to different assumptions, since everything is dominated by the rate at which we lose galaxies to the edge of the reachable universe, the increase in safety needed to justify a 1000 year pause on EV grounds is tiny.
