Inky is usually more likely to nip me in the morning because she's got excess energy and gets overexcited. But then she flies around for a bit and burns the energy off and gets calm and snuggly again 🥰 another reason to let your birds be flighted!

I'm usually all for rescuing special needs animals, but the disability and the species need to be considered. A horse simply cannot have any decent quality of life missing a leg. Keeping this poor baby alive as long as they did was unnecessary and cruel.

his leg was already buckling during his first week alive. he had to live over a year as he put more and more weight, causing even more stress on it. everyone involved should be investigated

I have never worked on any training with Inky because she's still pretty skittish about hands, but I decided to ask her to step up on my arm on a whim, just to see what she'd do... and she DID!

15 months ago, Inky was essentially a stranger to human contact. Now she'll chase Niko off my shoulder so she can sit there. If you're thinking about getting a bird, please consider adopting a rescue bird. She is such a goid, sweet, special companion 🥰
