As the Canola industry does what it can to navigate the federally imposed hardships, we echo their call and the call of every single Western Canadian farmer, for Ottawa to act! Trash the EV tariffs and signal our desire for free and open trade.

🚨 Harvest-season gut punch: China slaps a 75.8% tariff on 🇨🇦 canola mid-harvest. This could cost Prairie farmers $2.35B. Ottawa must stop sacrificing the West in trade disputes. Read our full statement: wheatgrowers.ca/harvest-seas… #CdnAg #CanolaCrisis

One has to question who gave authority to pursue & overtake this tractor, at all costs, even the lives of people. It's my understanding this tractor was part of a protest against the indoctrination of children? "Omg, take him down!"

PS: @Riley_Gaines_ manufactured a controversy over a nonexistent issue to cover up her swimming mediocrity (even for the SEC) and a raging transphobe (I originally wrote "homophobe" by mistake - my apology)

A car caught fire on 16 Hwy. Thanks to all those who helped out including Portage Fire Dept. Thankfully no one was hurt and we were able to keep fire from spreading to our canola field almost ready to combine. Could have been much worse.

The federal gov is holding a survey about their extremely concerning 2030 Biodiversity Strategy. Their 50% pesticide risk reduction plan comes from this strategy. eNGO's will be all over this survey. We must be too. Deadline is July 14! Survey link is: eccc.sondage-survey.ca/f/s.a…

3/4 It’s simply not fair to continue leaving families burdened by ever-increasing prices for food, housing, and fuel. Our Conservative team has brought forward 904 amendments to the budget bill in an effort to make this budget work for struggling families and small businesses.

4/4 By putting an end to tax hikes and inflationary spending, we can make life more affordable and bring relief to those left behind by rising costs. Let’s empower families and small businesses by bringing back common sense and bringing home lower prices.

#article In the upcoming Portage—Lisgar by-election, Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada (PPC), has made a revealing choice. He had the opportunity to challenge the Liberal Party in two other ridings, but instead, he decided to target the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC). This decision puts his political cowardice and lack of strategic acumen on full display for all Canadians to see. Bernier, who claims to be a champion of individual freedoms and liberties, could have taken the fight to the Liberals, the party behind controversial legislation such as Bill-C11 and Bill C-21. Both of these bills have been criticized for their potential impact on Canadians' rights, and challenging the Liberals would have given Bernier the opportunity to directly contest these issues. Instead, Bernier opted to challenge the CPC in Portage—Lisgar, a riding where the Conservatives have traditionally held strong support. In doing so, he's effectively attempting to undermine the party that has been the most consistent critic of the Liberal government's perceived overreaches. The question that every Canadian should be asking is why? Why would Bernier, who professes to stand for the rights of the people, choose to target the Conservatives instead of the Liberals? Why would he squander an opportunity to directly challenge the party that's pushing through legislation that many Canadians see as a threat to their freedoms? This move raises serious doubts about Bernier's judgment and his political courage. It suggests that he's more interested in scoring political points and settling personal scores than in standing up for the principles he claims to uphold. Bernier's decision to target the Conservatives rather than the Liberals is a stark reminder of his political opportunism. It's a move that speaks volumes about his character and his true priorities. In the face of challenges to Canadian liberties, we need leaders who are willing to confront those responsible. Regrettably, by choosing to target the CPC, Bernier has shown that he's not up to the task. It's a display of political cowardice that should give every Canadian pause #cdnpoli #cdnpolitics
