The Tampa Bay Rays have reinstated RHP Craig Kimbrel (right wrist strain) from the 15-day IL and optioned RHP Mason Englert to Triple-A Durham.

Drew Rasmussen became the ninth pitcher (15x) in Rays history to record 13 strikeouts in an outing, first since Tyler Glasnow (14) on Sept. 6, 2023 vs. BOS. He became the fifth Rays pitcher (6x) to strike out 13 or more in a start of 7.0 scoreless innings or more, joining: • Glasnow on April 12, 2021 vs. TEX (7.2 IP, 14 SO) • Blake Snell on April 2, 2019 vs. COL (7.0 IP, 13 SO) and Oct. 1, 2017 vs. BAL (7.0 IP, 13 SO) • David Price on Aug. 28, 2011 at TOR (7.0 IP, 14 SO) • James Shields on May 22, 2011 at FLA (9.0 IP, 13 SO)

The Tampa Bay Rays have traded minor league INF Raynel Delgado to the Houston Astros in exchange for cash considerations.

The Tampa Bay Rays have selected OF Austin Slater to the major league roster and optioned INF Oliver Dunn to Triple-A Durham. Slater will wear No. 20.   To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Jon Heasley (right elbow stress reaction) was transferred to the 60-day IL. The club's 40-man roster remains at 40 players.
