Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and not to just survive the journey to school. We celebrate all Ugandans who chose not to look away, you just contributed to the literacy and education outcome-bravo👏 @SheilahGashumba @KwikirizaNova
I can confirm that @SheilahGashumba has cleared a tune of UGX 1,242,000 for Angel Blessing Atuhaire's school fees, school requirements, and personal shopping for next term in a better and boarding school - Kabale Universal Nursery & Primary school. I got in touch with the father of the girl and helped him identify the school and I went ahead to talk to the school administration to have a smooth admission of the girl and I'm very happy to know that Blessing won't ever have to ride to school on a rainy day again. Sheilah says that after the girl's Primary, she wants to take her to first world schools for secondary. What are special human being. Blessing's job is now to settle and perform so she can qualify for the schools. May you be blessed Sheilah and you'll Ugandans on X who made this happen. 🙏

We thought we were teaching a child the alphabetical sounds. A parent told us we were doing more than that… This parent’s reflection on how the literacy champions fellowship program has supported her child’s learning is a true testament to how programs can create impact.

What looks like play is often a child discovering who they can become. Today, we champion every child’s right to learn through play. #InternationalDayofPlay

May be you’ve heard these literacy myths before or maybe you’ve unknowingly believed them. Not every child struggling to read is “lazy”. Sometimes, they simply haven’t been given the right support, environment, or opportunity. We implore you to these truths

What future are we building if children only read to pass exams? @Catherine is changing that through book clubs and literacy champions helping children read, speak, and dream with confidence. Will you join us in raising readers beyond grades?

Clean results come from messy behind-the-scenes work nobody posts about. One thing we keep learning through this through this work is that leadership isn’t just about being seen at the front but it’s about creating the conditions for others to succeed. #Leadership

Sometimes, the biggest transformations begin with a single opportunity. For many of our champions, literacy is personal. It is not only about helping children learn to read but more about building confidence, creating opportunities and changing lives. #literacy #youngleaders
