Nemesis Reloaded #1
Bloody, action packed & holy $#! . This issue is a blast of a good time & super violent. Fantastic setup for this character Nemesis (which I'd never even heard of). This is the kind of greatness comics can give us as fans. An absolute must read.
Running a small business is hard & it takes a lot of time & love from the owners. This is just terrible and we should all help out, even if it is a little. Please help by donating and/or liking this tweet to spread the word. @badideahello#badideafancupgofundme.com/f/disc-heroes-r…
Saga #61
We pick up 6 months later. My only complaint is that this is yet another time jump after we just had a huge one. This is wonderfully written with a huge cliff hanger but I really don't want it to stop & start in a whole new place again. Hope it finds a great flow again.
Amazing Spider-Man #18
A huge fight & a crazy plot. I love Rek-Rap & the silliness but the rest feels like a maximum filler story. Really not utilizing Chasm or making the story interesting. Pretty disappointed already with this arc.
MMPR TMNT 2 #2
The bad guys of each team are working together to beat the Turtles & Rangers. The crossover stuff is so much fun but the story so far is just ok. I can see there's more exciting stuff coming but it doesn't make each issue really stand out. Still worth it for fans.
Something is Killing the Children #28
Erica gets arrested & comes face to face with Cutter. A really interesting issue that takes an unexpected turn. SIKTC has been great & seems to be getting more gruesome & even better. Definitely enjoying this series still.
Grim #7
No one is able to die. Gruesome & terrifying to think about, this issue is a fantastic start to this arc. A great jump on point leaving so many questions that I can't wait to get answers to. Must read.
Amazing Spider-Man #17
Peter is stuck in limbo. Ridiculous & fun, this issue is packed with weird characters & strange twists on the universe we know. It's definitely a side step to the story but it's fun & I look forward to more from these characters. Definitely recommend.
Lazarus Planet: Alpha #1
The planet is in massive danger from a terrible storm. The great parts are great but this is really just a long winded opening. Worth the read with some great art. Definitely looking forward to this arc.
The Flash #790
The 1 minute war begins. Really fantastic & a great jump on point. We see how the war begins from the perspective of many different Flash's. This looks to be pretty epic & the ending was really a shocker. Can't wait for more.
Book of Slaughter #1
This is more of an intro book with a little bit of comic & a bunch of pages of text. Mostly unnecessary for people who have read the SIKTC & House of Slaughter stories. If you want a quick way to catch up, this is the book for you.
MMPR TMNT 2 #1
Casey Jones is missing so the 2 teams go looking for him. Solid opening with a really cool looking (SPOILER REMOVED) at the end. Really excited to see some new stuff in this series but this wasn't as exciting as the previous series' #1. Hoping for the best.
Amazing Spider-Man #16
Chasm vs Spider-Man. The action & colors in this issue are fantastic & I really loved the back & forth during the fighting. The end sets up alot too. Really enjoyed this issue & I'd even say it's a good jump on point to see if you want to read more.
Batman Spawn #1
This is terrible. Unnecessary wordy (no surprise at all) & way too many villains/subplots. I lost interest about 15 pages into this oversized issue. Definitely won't be continuing this.
Art Brut #1
After the Mona Lisa is found winking, Art Brut must save the industry. This issue starts great but leaves me pretty lost. I'll continue to read this but I'm pretty shocked at my lack of interest from this amazing team. Hoping it comes together in issue #2.
Ice Cream Man #33
The kind of review I want to write says I hate this book and how it makes me feel. The reality is that Ice Cream Man's sad, hopeless demeanor is brilliant & makes me feel more than most things in life. Even if that feeling is terrible, it's more than nothing.
In Hell #1
Six people wake up in hell. Puzzles, violence, sex & brutality, this story has it all. In Hell is grotesque & deep rooted in thought. I love how each page can be read mutiple ways. Not for the faint of heart but a well written, thought provoking comic.
Do a Powerbomb #6
Sun & Steel deal with their loss. One of the best stories of the year & continues to use every twist in the book to it's full advantage. I love these characters, their story & the action. If you haven't read this yet, read it NOW or I'll wrestle you to the death
