Pete hitting for the cycle while the Cubs have somehow turned it into 2 runs and then immediately getting picked off first base is the kind of fun-bad I've been waiting for from this team. If you're not going to be good, at least be entertaining in the process.
PETE CROW-ARMSTRONG HAS HIT FOR THE CYCLE.

Somehow the Cubs have scored 2 runs with this performance, which sums up their season.

Cody, I can say that I am a 175 pound guy who can bench press 300 pounds and am the all time leader in home runs in Major League Baseball. Just saying things doesn't make them accurate.
Texas Tech Board Chair Cody Campbell issues a statement that includes: “The bottom line is that Texas Tech did absolutely nothing but act with complete integrity through this entire process.”

Michigan State Police are currently investigating a missing person complaint involving 44-year-old Justin Wolfiss. Justin was kayaking with a friend on the White River on Monday afternoon. The pair entered the river at Sischo Bayou around 1:30 p.m. and were traveling downstream toward the Happy Mohawk Canoe Livery near Diamond Point, a trip that typically takes 3 to 4 hours. The kayakers became separated early in the trip. Justin's friend arrived at Diamond Point around 7:00 p.m. and waited several hours for him to arrive. Justin never reached the destination, and his vehicle remains parked at Sischo Bayou. Family and friends have not heard from him since. Justin was last seen wearing a t-shirt with birds on it and shorts. He was operating a green-colored kayak. The Michigan State Police are being assisted by Blue Lake Township Fire Department and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in the search effort. Anyone who was on the White River Monday afternoon or evening, has property along the river, or may have seen Justin, his green kayak, or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Michigan State Police Grand Rapids Post at 616-866-4411 or call 911. Please share this post to help us locate Justin safely.

Fatal Traffic Crash Investigation, Oceana County On June 10, 2026, at approximately 9:32 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Hart Post responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of 192nd Avenue and McKinley Road in Oceana County. The preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old male from the Twin Lake area left the roadway and struck a large tree. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time pending notification of next of kin. The Michigan State Police Hart Post was assisted at the scene by local emergency responders. As a reminder, drivers are encouraged to remain alert, avoid distractions, and always wear their seatbelt. Even a momentary lapse in attention can have tragic consequences.

It's so cute when coaches and conference commissioners say they just want clear rules but then sue literally any time the rules stop them.

This is an absolute travesty. Just go find a judge who wants to dunk on the NCAA for whatever reason and literally no rules will apply to you. I know they won't, but the Big 12 should step in and take action itself if the NCAA won't be allowed to.

Busy day for new Clippers head coach Brian Wright, who capped his illustrious Shelby career this morning with the regional finals defeat in Kalamazoo, then jets to Muskegon for a season opening doubleheader in his new gig.
Gorgeous night for baseball! Gates are open, head on down!

Not done covering Shelby sports today just yet. At Ravenna for the regional semifinals with the Tigers taking on #5 Morley-Stanwood. Top of the 6th inning and the game is tied at 3.

Crunch time for Shelby after Morley-Stanwood scored 3 times in the 7th inning. The Tigers will need to get 3 to tie it. 6-3 lead for the Mohawks.

Final score - Morley-Stanwood 6, Shelby 5. Shelby's 7th inning rally falls just short. Jayna Burmeister hit a 2 run homer in the 7th, but the Tigers were unable to get a 3rd run. With no seniors on this year's roster, the future is bright for Shelby.

We're underway at Kalamazoo Central for the regional final between Shelby and Kalamazoo Christian. Tigers are home team. DayDay Garcia just pitched a scoreless inning. Key play was KC leadoff man Matt Rohrer tripping trying to get from 1B to 2B on an error. Was tagged out at 1B.

It remains 4-2 after 6. Shelby is battling on the defensive end after an uneven start, but Kalamazoo Christian pitcher Jackson Herder is doing a fine job inducing weak contact.

Final score - Kalamazoo Christian 12, Shelby 2. 7th inning got away from the Tigers, and what was a close battle most of the way ends the season at 30-11. Shelby ends its deepest postseason run since '10 and sends coach Brian Wright out with conference and district trophies.
