Jam Millerâs first 3 games in 2025 were againstâŚ
UGA (No. 4 run D)
VAN (No. 18)
MIZZ (No. 11)
He totaled 319 yards (267 rushing, 52 receiving) on 66 touches (58 carries) in those games while averaging 4.6 YPC. Against the last two, he had 221 yards on 42 carries (5.3 YPC).
Then late against MIZZ, he got a concussion and wasnât the same for awhile after that hit.
Finally started to look like his old self against AUB (No. 10 run D) while totaling 95 yards (83 rushing) on 17 touches (15 carries), and averaged 5.5 YPC that game.
Unfortunately, another injury forced him to miss the following week against UGA â and he only totaled 23 snaps over the final 2 games (with just 5 against IU).
Still, in those 4 games â against 4 top-18 run D (3 of which were on the road) â he averaged 87.5 yards/game and 4.8 YPC. 101.3 yards and 5.3 YPC against VAN, MIZZ and AUB.
He had issues, but there were moments.
Not saying he wouldâve been a complete game-changer for Alabamaâs run game, but the staff constantly built him up as *the* guy at that position throughout the offseason prior to the collarbone injury in fall camp. Just wish we couldâve seen what the run game wouldâve looked like had he been able to stay healthy.
Three different injuries were brutal, including that hit against MIZZ where he didnât look right for a month. Once again, wasnât going to be a world-beater, but despite a historically bad run game in 2025, the Patriots still thought the lead horse in that room was worth a flier in the 7th round.
