TV cameras caught Jihaad Campbell skipping down the draft theater hall, slapping the Eagles emblem, and delivering a PPV promo after getting drafted by the #Eagles. “The rich got richer,” he said afterward. Scenes from Campbell’s memorable draft night: inquirer.com/eagles/jihaad-c…

Andre Mintze went viral last weekend when he unretired to join the @UFLDefenders for their title run. I caught up with Mintze to talk about his transition out of football to healthcare and closing the chapter of his football career on Saturday: inquirer.com/eagles/ufl-cham…

An intriguing late round guy in this upcoming NFL Draft is Holy Cross' Jalen Coker. Not a burner (4.57 40), but a 1.52 10-yard split 42.5-inch vertical shows up on film. Good ball tracker and ability to go get the ball and adjust

New #Eagles EDGE A.J. Epenesa averaged about 24 pressures over the last three seasons, and his most effective usually came from interior alignments or attacking guards while slanting. Wants to go through offensive linemen as a pass rusher.

Went back to 2023 and A.J. Epenesa of course had a nice pressure and near strip sack on Jalen Hurts when the Bills played the Eagles in the Linc.
Every time I start watching a player the #Eagles signed or traded for, it seems like they have almost always made a play against them in the previous season. The same can be said about new EDGE A.J. Epenesa, who had a quality interior pressure during the Bills game last season.

Rookie tight ends always have a big learning curve when transitioning to the NFL. I wouldn’t read too much into Eli Stowers lack of flashy plays so far during OTAs and minicamp.
“It’s been a very quiet spring for Eli Stowers. With Calcaterra out today, one would’ve expected more opportunity for the Eagles’ second-round pick. But the rookie tight end was invisible.” — @BrandonGowton on Eli Stowers 🫥

Beyond DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert, the #Eagles will be counting on new faces. Among them is WR Dontayvion Wicks and TE Eli Stowers. What do each player bring Sean Mannion offense’s and where could they thrive? My latest film breakdown here: inquirer.com/eagles/dontayvi…

I'd love to see the #Eagles incorporate variations of these pick plays, especially in the red zone against man coverage. Dontayvion Wicks executes both of these perfectly without drawing a flag, and forces defenses to make a decision on which route to cover.

Packers showed some creativity, too, near the goal line with Dontayvion Wicks. Didn't score on this play, but the shovel pass was especially effective for the #Eagles in the red zone last year.

Been watching a lot of Packers film recently, and while Christian Watson has been incredibly valuable and explosive as a vertical stretcher, he just hasn't been on the field enough to justify this type of extension. Kinda insane he's making more APY than DeVonta Smith.
ESPN sources: Green Bay WR Christian Watson and the Packers reached agreement today on a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus.

One big key to Dontayvion Wicks in Philly is finishing his downfield opportunities more frequently than he did in Green Bay. Has enough speed and route running saavy to get behind defenses and the toughness to make catches when defenders are bearing down on him.

As the #Eagles shift their offensive philosophy, I'd expect Dontayvion Wicks to play a big part in the intermediate passing game. He mirrors every single route as if he's heading vertically, which opens the throwing window for his QB, and is consistent in working flat across the MOF on dig routes.

One reason the #Eagles should be excited about new WR Dontayvion Wicks is his willingness and execution when it comes to blocking in space. Helped pop quite a bit of big plays for the Packers the last two seasons and his tenacious effort consistently stood out on his film.

There is some inside-out versatility to new #Eagles WR Dontayvion Wicks' game, but he became really adept as an outside receiver attacking the blind spots in corners and forcing them quickly into recovery mode or completely turning them around. Gave his QB more room to fit the ball into tight windows.

Green Bay asked Dontayvion Wicks to do a lot of the dirty work at the LOS, from insert blocks to crack/replace up to safeties or the frontside linebacker. I'd expect the #Eagles to also utilize his abilities as a run blocker in their offense too. Adds an extra blocking body in the box to help spring downhill runs from under center.

#Eagles WR Dontayvion Wicks is a sudden route runner that mixes him his route tempo to keep corners, nickels, or safeties off balance. Snaps off the tops of his routes and was especially effective in one-on-one scenarios from the slot. Caught 11 of his 18 targets in man w/ a 63.2% success rate.
