In June, I'll be hiking 26 miles, around Ullswater and up Helvellyn, for Alzheimer's Society because our dad is suffering with vascular dementia.

So proud of my final A level class. Their excellent grades are just reward for the dedication they showed in virtual classes, wearing masks, socially distancing. Everything was against them but they came up trumps. Well done ladies! @BHSAcademy @GDST @GDSTMaths

Started looking at older Maths textbooks, thanks to @mathsjem's website, mainly to enhance the language I use in my teaching. Love coming across gems like this that add to my own understanding!

Alan Turing died. An amazing mathematician, computer scientist and cryptanalyst, Turing contributed to the work at Bletchley Park and his later work laid the foundations for modern computing and artificial intelligence.
