My name is PJ Reilly. I am 27 years old and a lifelong Ohioan. I was raised in a strong Christian household where we were always very conservative. From a young age, I was taught to put Christ first in everything I do and that is something that will never change. I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 at my very first opportunity to vote. President Trump’s message of populism and revitalization spoke strongly to the whole country, and especially to my generation. When our state government decided to impose lockdowns in 2020, I knew I needed to get politically involved. It wasn’t enough to simply be conservative I had to take action. I decided to get involved in grassroots Republican politics here in Central Ohio. I saw that the current leadership in our state was no longer in line with the base. Our Governor had grown out of touch, to the point where he allowed Amy Acton to lock down Ohio. I knew this could never be allowed to happen again. So I started attending meetings, connecting with Republican candidates for office, and asking them tough questions about their ideology to ensure they were truly aligned with the conservative movement. After becoming informed on the candidates and understanding their beliefs, I decided to get even more involved. I worked on the ground level to elect true conservative candidates. I volunteered my time knocking doors, coordinating grassroots efforts, and building a large statewide Republican email list. Soon after, I was called to greater service. I had the honor of working for the United States House of Representatives in the office of Ohio's 15th congressional district. There, I assisted constituents with their problems helping them coordinate with federal agencies to find real solutions. That work was incredibly rewarding. While in the congressional office, I also served as a Field Representative. I worked closely with the counties, cities, and townships in our district to help secure federal funding for important infrastructure projects. I met with local leaders regularly and assisted with any federal needs they had. Then I had the opportunity of a lifetime: I joined Turning Point Action, where we work every single day to save America through activism, voter registration, and holding elected officials accountable to their conservative base. I’ve been blessed to work there for two years, and I now manage our Great Lakes region. Recently, after much prayer, I felt a strong calling to run for Union County Commissioner. A lot of major change is coming to Central Ohio, and we need a strong conservative who has the willpower to stay true to the base but also the statewide relationships to help us navigate these uncertain times ahead. I promise I will never compromise my beliefs. I will always be a strong advocate for our country someone who is available, accessible, and puts Union County first. I will fight for you.
