I so rarely have photos taken whilst teaching, so when my student, @pedromontalvo6 sent these, I was really pleased. Here they are from my @NationalGallery Raphael iPad Drawing workshop last weekend using @Procreate @ProcreateEDU The final slide is Pedro’s.
Fabulous two days @NationalGallery teaching iPad drawing workshops based around the Raphael exhibition, exploring his techniques and tools and converting them into @Procreate tools. @ProcreateEDU
This is a time lapse of my Raphael iPad drawing done in @Procreate @ProcreateEDU for my @NationalGallery one day workshops on 13 & 14 May. This is NOT online, but in the gallery. If you’re interested, go to link in last post.

I painted this years ago, sitting in the bedroom window of a rented cottage overlooking Mousehole Harbour. I hated it at the time, but the time passed has made me see it differently #mousehole#oilpainting#cornwall
Hand in early morning sunshine. This is the start of an egg tempera and the beginning of a theme, I’m becoming increasingly interested in. #eggtempera#figurativeart#light#sunshine
Well done to everyone who attended my online Sketchbook Saturday for @NationalGallery this morning. Here are my live attempts on my iPad whilst talking, using technology and drawing. Phew! I was using @Procreate @ProcreateEDU
I will be doing a Sketchbook Saturday @NationalGallery on 24/07/21 10.30-12. We’ll be looking at dogs in the collection, including this little dog in a Dutch group portrait. Here’s a time drawing lapse done on my iPad in @Procreate @ProcreateEDU
Well done to everyone who took part in @NationalGallery Talk & Draw Friday. We had over 300 participants and I’ve seen some wonderful interpretations of Turner’s painting. All my drawings were done in @Procreate#Learnwithprocreate
Would you fancy a virtual trip to Venice with Mr J.M.W. Turner? Would you love to learn how to observe a cityscape and make visual notes out of it with simple and effective drawing techniques?

Experimenting with using acrylic, oil and oil pastel. The acrylic base to retain the intense light of the sun, the oil to blend the clouds and the oil pastel to draw in the dark buildings. #arttechniques#landscape#painting#oil#acrylic#pastel
A bit of plein air watercolour painting in the wild park near my studio. Funny how nature comes out around you, once you’ve been still for 10 minutes. A little Robin popped up mistaking my palette for a food tray 😊
