Read this entire thread. Note the example they set in the gracious compassion for the attacker. Know where the anti-gay, anti-trans rhetoric leads—the bad fruit it produces. Call it out wherever you hear it. People should not have to fight for their personhood. Non-negotiable.

Well that didn't take long. We decided to take a trip on Amtrak with the kids for spring break. 9 hours into a pleasant ride, a man was suddenly standing next to me, shouting across me at my 6yo son, "Remember what I told you. They stole you. They're pedophiles." 🧵

It is critical that we are emphasizing again and again that the people of Iran are not our enemies. These are regular folks just like us, with families and hopes and dreams, caught in a nightmare. If we don't prevent war, they will suffer, and that will be on our hands.
