Government revenue must increase, yes, but the government also needs to create real sources of income for people before demanding taxes. We cannot keep taxing people already living in multidimensional poverty. This is why we keep saying they must stop borrowing senselessly. People canโ€™t even afford fuel because of the price, so how exactly does the government intend to impose taxes like fuel levies in this kind of economy?
