After Treaty of Yandabo (1820s) #Assam was pulled by its collar & attached to Eastern Frontier of Undivided Bengal by the Britons.
Has anyone heard of any Assamese resistance to that dragging?
Thereafter, it was separated from Bengal of yore in 1874 as the North-East Frontier.
