I lived in Humboldt Park for 8 years off Division/Homan & every year around this time celebration turns violent. We are expected to ignore that, anyone who says anything about it is racist of course.
Talk to most Puerto Ricans, they donβt attend this event because itβs overrun but hood rats & gangbangers. How do you possibly enjoy yourself while constantly worried about things going sideways?
