Traditional retirement plans penalize the mobility, part-time work and career breaks that family responsibilities demand. There are ways to narrow the benefits gap. — @MariiFTrujillo in @Governinggoverning.com/workforce/how-…
Argentina has made significant progress on inflation and fiscal stability. But long-term growth will remain out of reach unless policymakers reform a tax system that discourages investment, entrepreneurship, and formal employment. @GLawNV outlines a phased path forward.

Federal government shutdowns and the political dysfunction in Congress and the White House show why air traffic control should be operated as a self-funded public utility with the FAA as the safety regulator.

Argentina's tax burden is so extreme that nearly half the workforce has fled into the informal economy just to survive, and no amount of fiscal discipline will restore growth until that changes.

The House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee recently approved its portion of the five-year highway bill.
It clears a path to truck automation while simultaneously allowing but prohibiting rail automation, a bizarre position.

Milei has accomplished much in Argentina, but an excessive tax burden still drives workers and businesses into informality, and with the right tax reforms the country can regain the wealth it once had. reason.org/commentary/tax-re… via @ReasonFdn@GLawNV
Argentina won't restore long-term growth while its tax system drives workers and businesses into the shadows. @GLawNV’s research outlines a phased reform plan to simplify the tax code, reduce distortive taxes, and help Argentina reclaim the prosperity it once enjoyed. ⬇️

Javier Milei promised to end chronic deficits, tame inflation, and restore growth if he were elected.
He quickly delivered on the first two promises when he entered office. The challenge now is creating the conditions for sustained economic growth.
The problem? Argentina’s tax system.
Our research found a strong link between higher taxes and labor informality, suggesting that tax increases can shrink the tax base as people quickly shift economic activity off the books.
The solution is to simplify and gradually reduce Argentina's most distortive taxes, making it easier for workers and businesses to operate legally while encouraging economic growth and tax compliance.
