Every ARC Raiders update has made the PVE experience less casual friendly, while making the PVP experience less rewarding. 1. Anvil accuracy needed to be nerfed, if you want an accurate standing 2 shot headshot you need to use the ferro, if you want an accurate 2 shot headshot with a semiauto, you need to be stationary and crouching before shooting. 2. Stella Montis has needed an overall nerf to the loot table since it was added, it is too efficient to loot compared to every other map. 3. You don't get kits back from cheaters anymore because the only cheaters left are ones that are undetected, and it would expose how bad the cheating issue really is. 4. The queue times for night raids and specials raids are longer because there are less players, and less of an incentive to play a gamemode that doesn't have a hatchkey or unique loot when you can more efficiently gather resources of Stella Montis day raids in friendly lobbies. 5. The goal of Aggression Based Matchmaking is to remove the chances of a mixed lobby, they want you to queue in with either a pure PVP lobby or a pure PVE lobby, however this isn't possible because the matchmaking algorithm sorts players based on past behavior but can't predict future behavior.

Recently they have: 1. Nerfed anvil accuracy 2. Nerfed seed vault loot 3. Stopped giving kits back after dying to cheaters 4. Long waiting times for night raids and special raids 5. Matchmaking pushing you into direct pvp or PvE lobbies which minimizes mixed lobby chances

ARC Raiders messed up by not adding in-raid objectives that incentivize teaming rather than a matchmaking algorithm that disincentivizes PVP

a dedicated PVE mode in a PvPvE game only works if the inventories are seperate gear that is obtained in PVE can't be used in PVP, and gear obtained in PVP can't be used in PVE separating a game is never an ideal outcome, however if it must happen, loot must be kept separate

it’s good to see Infinity Ward is fully leaning into the PVP focus of DMZ and not having a vocal minority driven identity crisis a bounty system tied to a leaderboard is the perfect never ending chase style of content that streamers want, while also giving casuals an objective
MW4 DMZ additional info: — PvP focus, no plans for PvE only — 3 ways to play - Story Missions, Dynamic Ops, Free Roam — Bounty Hunter system with in-game leaderboard showing best PvP players — Dedicated progression with Trait System — Weapons purchased in Forward Base with in-game cash — Items built in-game 3D printer

during the pandemic, everyone had 12 hours a day to play video games this is probably the best people had ever gotten at one particular game post-pandemic, these same players expect to make just as much progress and be just as skilled while only playing 1-2 hours a day

I have become super sensitive to the patterns introduced by many of the current generative models. I get triggered by contrastive negation and sloppy clip art. I want to see the output of your mind, raw existential expression, not filler

cod players will look at this and genuinely think a weapon level is a unit of time whether the gun has 15 levels or 66, it’ll take the same amount of time to max this has only ever been a relative unit of measurement, the amount of time it takes depends on how fast you gain xp
Create-a-Class has evolved to maximize customization. For the first time in Modern Warfare, select an Operator and a unique Killstreak set for each loadout. Build loadouts for every playstyle, game mode, and more. Here’s a work-in-progress preview.

actually most modern games die because they’re overly casualized and once the casuals move onto the next casual friendly title, the previous game is far too dumbed down for the core player base to be engaged long term
Replying to @Reave
Meh 🤷🏻‍♂️. being more “skilled” in a game that majority of kills are done by people you are not engaging doesn’t seem all that skillful to me. most of these games die because of PVP.

a lot of people are misinterpreting this games need to be casual at launch to get people onboarded slowly, a game must dynamically increase its difficulty as time goes on to keep the people still interested, engaged whether that is removing abmm from certain gamemodes, or incentivizing people to play in a non-pve lobby or very slowly adjusting aim assist or adding a movement item or adding an endgame prestige system adding unlockable cosmetics for completionist tasks so many different ways to make your core playerbase feel like the game is still worth dumping hours into

any chance that this “high-value loot” can only be obtained in high-ABMM PVP lobbies? nothing about an item that drops in a friendly PVE lobby screams “high-value” especially when it’s much easier to extract with, and obtain, with nobody shooting back or fighting for it
A mysterious merchant has been spotted scoping out his pitch, opening up new ways for Raiders to trade high-value loot for exclusive rewards. Why not pay him a visit? Live update 1.29 lands tomorrow with a new Trader, fresh cosmetics, and more.
