Our Reception adventurers were fascinated by ants this week…so off we went on a welly walk to track them down!We learnt about colonies, queens, workers & just how amazingly strong they are! We love turning children’s interests into exciting learning journeys!🐜 @RodbourneCheney

We got back from assembly, this morning, to find the Gingerbread man has made a huge mess in our classroom. The class are very keen to catch him after he ran, ran as fast as he could... @RodbourneCheney

We have loved learning about our new story, ‘The Little Red Hen’, this week. We have been retelling the story in our play, growing wheat and turning it into flour. We even baked our own bread. It was very yummy. 😀🐓🍞 @RodbourneCheney

We are enjoying our new focus book “Owl babies”, this term. We found a nest of eggs in our classroom, which the children decided are the owl babies that are getting ready to hatch. The class have been busy making homes for the new Owl babies. What caring children we have. 😀🦉
