13:10 @Redbournfire and @GreenWatchHH were mobilised to a vehicle fire junction 9 - 8 southbound on the M1. On arrival 1 vehicle was well alight. Crews used 1 hose reel jet and 1 BA to extinguish the fire #allcallsstartwithcontrol

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the children and adult helpers of Nursery On The Green to our Station today. A Very busy morning with alot of interest in the pump and a display of good fire safety knowledge already. We were in full recruitment mode for the future!

@Hemel_RedWatch, @Redbournfire, and @StAlbansfire crews attended a multiple vehicle RTC Junc 8-9 of the M1. 17 people received first aid on scene, but no persons were trapped. Crews made scene safe. ππππππ

Great to be out with the @Redbournfire crew again at the village's Christmas Market. We were able to show plenty of visitors around the pump and the equipment we use as well as offer fire safety advice. We've had to leave now but the market is still open until 5pm today.

We were called out this bonfire on Saturday and it had to be extinguished, as it was near to crops. Do you need a bonfire during this weather? Embers can drift some distance and start another fire v.quickly in this hot spell, potentially with devastating consequences Be Safe!
