Closing statement from facilitator - empathy does not mean endorsement. You can empathise without agreeing with them.
@BenWinksIn life, there may be multiple sides, and not just two sides as in standard school debates. Another skill that needs to be developed is that of peacemaking and reconciliation instead of always trying to prove that you are right. Schools would be wise to develop this.
@floletaoba asks why would you NOT want students to speak about something that is concerning or affecting them?
