The VRA of 1965 established the fundamental principle that every American, regardless of race or color, has the right to vote.
At a time where racial discrimination in our elections remains pervasive, our lawmakers must recommit to the restoration of the VRA in its entirety.

🆕⚖️Just in: The federal district court in our Alabama case rejected the state defendants’ motion to dismiss the NRF's Section 2 lawsuit—marking another crucial milestone in our fight to ensure fair representation for AL voters and to make permanent our 2023 SCOTUS victory!

Today, in a major victory for voters, a GA court struck down the state’s congressional and state leg. maps as violations of Section 2 of the VRA.
