There are pictures of Norihiro, My Universe's jockey, floating around wearing a smile on his face after the race. While I understand wanting to point fingers, understand that My Universe appeared to be well, and that most attendees were relieved at this moment to see him walk.

I don't think it's wrong to be sad or angry. It's hard to not feel pained by this. My Universe was born to run. I cannot believe anyone saw this coming or wanted this to happen. I'm sure everyone involved is devastated by this loss and I pray his spirit can rest peacefully.

The JRA announced that My Universe, who stopped during the final stretch of the Takarazuka Kinen, passed away from acute heart failure. I'm so sorry.

I can't believe this is Danon Decile's 4th 🥉 in a row... All of them being G1s against absolute monsters is insane.

As for My Universe, all we can do for now is wait for official information. I don’t like speculating about things like this. Rainy races are interesting in their own way, and I do enjoy them. But if I had to choose, I think the best track is a clean, well-gripping surface — not one that gets slippery because of the rain. Staying safe is difficult in anything, not just horse racing. It may sound idealistic, but I just always hope they all come back safe.
