Spring has definitely sprung as were deep into lambing, farrowing continues & calving has just started - 2 sets of twins already, but these tiny twins have been brought in for some warmth & extra milk rations. Never mind lambs, itβs #ColdCalfRescue!

We make as much hay as possible instead of silage. It requires much less plastic, less transportation (as youβre not carrying weight of the water) & it is easier for rolling out onto the pasture when feeding cattle outside

Itβs also better for pasture itself as cut grass stays on ground longer, protecting living plants underneath when theyβre at their most vulnerable π±
