One of the most entertaining 4-1 NBA Finals I can recall. Tremendous games and closely competitive. Congrats to the @nyknicks on winning the Title. They turned into a buzzsaw and another gear this playoffs.

Not been the best officiated game but absolutely not. NFL officiating has become really poor and is much worse than NBA.
After this finals, i think the nba officiating is more bogus than the NFL.

Excellent call and a really difficult one in realtime and from baseline by James Capers. One of the best officials

I think if you go 2 for 2 on challenges, you should get 1 more until you get it wrong. You also should not be charged a Timeout. Maybe fine in regular season but this crew has missed a few calls that have led to successful challenges. Should not be penalized for that imo

This hasn’t been an easy game to officiate but feels like there have been quite a few tonight that the crew would probably like to have back. Lot on the line and exceptionally intense and physical but there have been more than a few that I’ve felt they have missed

This is not the same sport as they play 82 games in the regular season. This is physical. Kind of refreshing actually to see they care.

You also are not allowed to poke or swipe anyone in the face/eye. Not a good sequence

Need a whistle on this one. Can’t invade airborne shooter’s landing area
Wemby steps into Jalen Brunson's landing area

That’s got to be whistled. Brunson Sr needs to sit down though. Only Head Coach should be permitted to confront a game official.

This, to me, is not an F1. I don’t like this as a flagrant, but I think they will rule it as such for consistency. Not much of a push imo

I feel, again my personal opinion, the Spurs F1 was more of a push. I get why they ruled both as F1’s, and I thought they would. Not sure Robinson even made much contact at all on his push.

This is great basketball. Amazing what happens to the on court product when teams actually try and defend. They need to figure out regular season because it’s unwatchable. NBA and MLB have the biggest variances in watchability from regular season to postseason. Totally different

I think they rule this as F1

Think you have to rule that F1 there. It’s not egregious but there isn’t much of a legitimate play on ball and push from back. Good with ruling

Would not be surprised if this is a successful challenge by Spurs. Think this gets flipped to on Towns imo with the hook 👍🏻

Very physical early. Officials setting tone letting them play. NBA Finals

Tuning into Game 5 tonight on @NBAonABC . Experienced and excellent officiating crew. Foster, Capers & Ford. Expecting a great game, and well whistled. Here we go! 👍🏻

It’s 3 games out of 162. Relax. Nobody is watching or games about every game. Too long of a season to be invested. It’s a fun change of pace. Not like losing a week of games from Sacramento is the end of the world
"Outcomes are on the line, and we're warping them by allowing these games to be played in Vegas." @Ken_Rosenthal and @AlannaRizzo aren't fans of meaningful games being played at Las Vegas Ballpark.

This never helps
Mike Brown is not happy with the officiating after Game 3: "I never thought I'd be in the NBA Finals and see a team get 24 free throw attempts in the second half to another team's eight."

ESPN/ABC already leaning into the New York angle. Could have sworn this is on MSG Network, not National Broadcast
