Referees doing the job for county fa....
Surely the original referee contacted the county fa to say they were injured....
Or is it that they found a game that pays more and so offered the game on WhatsApp to get it covered.

How is it that you are asked to update your availability for games and yet don't get appointed to anything?

Refereed a good game of football on Sunday.
5 mins in, I spot the GK not wearing shin pads. I send him to go get them.
83 mins played, I spot a sub, now on the field with strange looking shin pads.
I walk over and ask are you wearing shin pads?

After giving me his name he accepted the yellow card that came his way.
A teammate of his was being subbed off, came over with a pair of micro pads saying ref he can have mine as I'm going off!
No complaints over the card.

If a player attempts to deceive the referee they will receive a yellow card from me.

I feel like I have been blacklisted. But guess what, I don't care.
I am still out every Sunday refereeing.
Sunday gone was possibly the best game I've referee'd this season.
