1992 - 2026. Same place. Same purpose. Still handmade. This is where it all happens. The first photo is our factory at Temple Farm being built in 1992 - designed by our founder Roy Gandy, it was Rega's first ever custom-built facility. The third factory in our history, but the first one built specifically for us. The second is today. Same building. Same Southend sunshine. But inside, a lot has changed, and a lot hasn't. What started as one building is now one of seven Rega sites across the same industrial estate. Since 1992 we've developed 150 new products in our Temple Farm factory, but we still do it the same way. By hand. In-house. Every bearing, every plinth, every cartridge has been designed, built, and tested here in Southend-on-Sea. Some people have changed (many haven’t!), the products have evolved, but Rega’s core philosophy is exactly the same.
