Home from Orlando! Managed my first Top 64 and my second Day 2, running Kyogre & Lunala once again. I was an hour away from refunding Orlando when they announced it would be played on Reg I, and as soon as I heard that I knew the team needed another run.

Bittersweet end to the season; I finished 5-3 at NAIC and placed 179th, which is still an improvement from last year, but I know Day 2 was within my grasp. I ran my own take on @alaninepoke's JPCS 2nd place team, pulling a few EV spreads from @Ikazuki148 top 16 team as well.

Overall, I can't be mad about this result. I know I can learn from the losses and come back even stronger next season. It's gonna be a nice, relaxing summer, but I'm already looking forward to 2027.

Overall this season, I finished 160th in North America and 5th in my home state of Indiana, one point behind my fellow Hoosier & NAIC roomie @SpitzVGC Lots of room to grow, but still a season I can take a lot of pride in.

Going back to the real world after a weekend at a VGC event is the worst.

Shoutout to Austin for not only being one of my favorite underdog teambuilders, but for building powerful and relevant resources for the community! Good luck at Worlds! 🫡
Qualified for Worlds 2026 top 50 in NA!. It's been a whirlwind season and I'm happy I achieved all my goals this season. I took a break from seriously prepping majors to avoid burnout, so looking forward to getting back into the swing of things for Worlds.

Many people have asked what the future of Pokémon events are - sharing this interview that helps answer some of those question!

The continual and repeated social media bait of comparing an abstract battle pose sprite to an individual frame of a 3D model which features dozens of animations is something the online community really, REALLY, needs to move on from.

if only boss brought me to the battle he would have had speed control and maybe wouldn't be flinched twice 😞

Great interview from the director of global esports and events at the Pokémon Company International, give it a read if you want to know more about what's being carefully considered for the future of our game(s)

They removed the Game Corner from the mainline games, and replaced it with Rock Slide Gambling Simulator.

My comment about the format a while ago seems quite accurate:)

I was playing Zard Y most of the format, and was wondering if I was just struggling to adapt to megas. Then I tried Rock Slide. It’s like taking training wheels off. Zard Y really is just playing with a handicap rn
