It feels rare in Congress these days that you get the level of bipartisan support for a bill like the Major Richard Star Act has. This discharge petition is about heading the call of tens of thousands of American veterans who are losing out on thousands of dollars a year that they’ve earned.

The numbers aren’t great, Mr. President. The numbers are absolutely terrible, and hardworking Americans, seniors, veterans, and small businesses are paying the price.

Now is the time for the 330 cosponsors of the Major Richard Star Act to step up and sign the discharge petition to force a vote on this bipartisan legislation. We can get this done for the thousands of combat-injured veterans in New Hampshire and across the country.

Stopped by the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire breakfast this morning to welcome New Hampshire businesses to our nation’s capital. Supporting our local businesses is key to driving our state’s economy, prosperity, and future. I’m fighting for them in Congress.

Unions mean workers can get higher wages, safer conditions, and better benefits. But the average worker waits over 450 days for their first union contract after voting to organize. Legislation passed to the House to stop bad employers from dragging out negotiations and ensure workers get a contract quicker and more efficiently.

House Republicans just passed another enormous blank check to ICE — $70 million dollars. No reforms. No guardrails. No oversight. No accountability for Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

A WIN: The House passed an Iran War Powers resolution yesterday. And the Senate has too. This is a start in reaffirming the authority of Congress in matters of war and checking the power of the President. Americans don’t want another forever war with no plan or endgame.
