ABCCM serves more than 30,000 individuals each year and is on the front lines of addressing poverty, homelessness, and veteran hardship across Western North Carolina. I met with their team to discuss veteran housing and recovery needs, including the important work being done through the Veterans Restoration Quarters, which provides 250 beds for homeless veterans.
That’s also why I introduced the Justice for America’s Veterans and Survivors Act — to ensure families of veterans lost to suicide receive the recognition and benefits they deserve.
