Though this is the end of a chapter for me, I'm reminded that our democracy is great because it doesn’t begin or end with one elected official. It's not about one person. It never has been. We are caretakers. Guardians of the great American experiment.

Social Security is vital for Texans, but too many police officers, teachers & other public servants unfairly get reduced benefits. I was proud to vote for the bipartisan Social Security Fairness Act to ensure our public servants receive the retirement benefits they've earned.

This #DiabetesAwarenessMonth, I'm committed to lowering costs for Texans living with diabetes. Thanks to our work to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, we capped insulin for folks on Medicare at $35 a month. Let’s keep working to ensure Texans can afford the insulin they need.

It's helping us fix our roads and bridges, invest in our airports and public transit, and so much more — all while creating good-paying jobs.
