Had a fantastic Team 96 summer lunch at Gary’s Rack Farmhouse as they celebrated their grand opening today across from City Hall! I’m truly grateful for my team and all they do each and every day.

It’s always exciting to support a new local business and welcome another great restaurant to the Coral Springs family. It was great to meet owner Gary and manager Craig, and I wish them much success in Coral Springs.

House Bill 655 has been signed into law by the Governor! I was proud to work with Rep. Duggan on this legislation, which creates exemptions allowing government agencies to meet privately with attorneys regarding certain private property rights claims.

Proud to announce that SB 1602, our Housing for Veterans bill, was signed into law by the Governor. I’m proud to work with Rep. Rosenwald and Sen. Wright to expand access to safe, stable housing for veterans by encouraging more landlords to participate in the HUD‑VASH program.

This pilot in Broward, Escambia, Hillsborough, and Santa Rosa Counties is a meaningful step toward ending veteran homelessness and helping those who served our country regain their footing.

Team 96 attended the Greater Sunrise Chamber’s monthly luncheon last week. Mayor Mike Ryan discussed the proposed property tax amendment on November’s ballot. The Chamber also donated golf tournament proceeds to Piper High School for college tours for disadvantaged students.

Honored to receive the Broward FOP Public Safety Award. Our law enforcement officers and first responders are the backbone of our community, and I’m proud to support those who put service above self to keep us safe. Public safety will always be a top priority.

Great to be back at my alma mater, MSD. 18 years ago I sat in that same auditorium, and today I had the honor of presenting the Student Achievement Award to Alexis Freckleton. The next generation is truly inspiring, and I cannot wait to see all they accomplish.

We’ve been hard at work in Tallahassee this week on the 2026–2027 state budget. ICYMI, here’s our video from earlier this session breaking down how the budget process works. Stay tuned in the coming weeks to see which projects make it through the budget process.

Smoke from the Everglades Brush Fire may be noticeable in parts of District 96. There is no immediate danger, but smoke-sensitive residents should limit outdoor activity and take precautions. Follow our pages for updates. Track the wildfire: ffs.firesponse.com/public/

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms and mother figures who give so much of themselves every day. Your care, patience, and strength shape lives in ways that often go unseen but are always deeply felt.
