I got invited to the White House!
State leaders on reproductive rights—SUPER neat, though I think we’re actually not in the Big White House but rather in the somewhat-fancy-but-not-as-fancy building next door. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow but I got to play tourist tonight!

I’m grateful to my constituent @JayInslee for serving as Governor through very challenging times.
We’d still see him around the community as Governor (getting Christmas tree from the local place, etc.) so I hope this means he can spend more well-earned time with family/friends!

Governor signed the Shield Law today!
This protects people in Washington State from anti-abortion laws in Texas/elsewhere.
I started working on it last summer when we saw draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade…five million drafts & countless meetings later we’re done; it’s law!

I have to like constituent books, it’s basically a rule (see also: why I supported Jay Inslee for President) but WSJ calls it “engaging” so it’s not just me; go buy!

We had “State of the State” ceremonies in the Washington State Legislature today.
They introduced the honorary consul of Ukraine and the place went BERSERK. Everyone leapt to their feet: cheering, hollering, etc.
