Today I met with the New York League of Conservation Voters @nylcv to talk about how inflation is impacting energy rates and how the Energy Bills Relief Act can bring needed assistance to NYers. This is a crucial step in bringing down costs and investing in our clean energy. I look forward to collaborating on this and will continue to support the critical efforts being done to care for our planet.

Inflation rose to 4.2% and the higher price tag on everyday necessities is growing. We feel it each time we go to the store or fill up our gas tanks. Meanwhile, my Republican colleagues do nothing besides fulfill a nonsense agenda from the White House. It is time to address the crisis and actually make a plan before Trump’s policies cause irreparable damage. nytimes.com/live/2026/06/10/…

Today, I stood with my colleagues in support of the DHS Transparency Act. No one should feel the pain that Nurul Amin Shah Alam's family felt when he was found dead after being dropped off by DHS agents at a closed coffee shop, unable to seek shelter in freezing temperatures due to disability and unfamiliarity. I will remain committed to seeing this legislation through and carry his story with me as we demand human dignity be respected during this concerning time.

Last week, I met with Blythdale Children’s Hospital Staff and had the opportunity to meet John and his family. John is a brave and adventurous 8-year-old who spent time at Blythdale Children’s after needing lifesaving care. We spoke to the importance of easing the transition of children returning home from the hospital and ensuring equipment was accessible to all patients. It was an honor to meet with them, and I will carry with me the stories shared.
