Today, on Women Veterans Day, we remember and honor the women of America who for 250 years have put their lives on the line in service to our country in uniform. This year, President Trump issued an Executive Order that caused a longstanding bipartisan ceremony to be upended and moved from Arlington National Cemetery, where it has taken place over the years. Our military is stronger because of the women we honor today — no executive order, no president, will ever erase that.

Powerful meeting with the New England Chapter of @PVA1946, hearing directly from veterans and advocates working to improve the lives of those living with spinal cord injuries and disabilities. Grateful for their leadership, service, and partnership—and excited to continue this work as a new member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee.

When workers put in the hard and essential work to form a union, they’re too often met with endless delay tactics and stonewalling — it’s just not right. The bipartisan bill that we passed in the House today is about basic fairness and about making the promise of collective bargaining a reality. I was proud to cosponsor this bipartisan bill, rally the 218 signatures we need to force a vote, and pass it in the House today.

Some GOOD news from the last few days: ✅ The House passed our bipartisan Iran War Powers Resolution to reign in President Trump's reckless war of choice in lran. ✅The House passed our bipartisan Ukraine Support Act to stand up for our allies in Ukraine and to stand up against war criminal Vladimir Putin. ✅The House Armed Services Committee passed our bipartisan bill to stop big defense corporations from ripping off American taxpayers and ensure American troops recoup the right to repair their own equipment.

Every American deserves the freedom to live with dignity, safety, and equality under the law — to love who they love and to be who they are, openly and proudly. Pride is a celebration of that freedom and a reminder that our work is not done. I’ll never stop fighting in Congress to ensure that the promise of equal justice and equal opportunity belongs to everyone.

No American veteran should ever have to choose between the benefits they earned through their service and sacrifice for our country. The Major Richard Star Act would finally correct a longstanding and outrageous injustice. Congress must pass it. Now. I will not rest until we get this done.

Free and fair elections are the bedrock of American democracy. In Congress, I’m fighting to ensure that every eligible voter in America can cast their ballot free from intimidation, coercion, and any undue interference by anyone, including the Pentagon.

🚨The House Armed Services Committee PASSED our commonsense, bipartisan amendment to ensure our servicemembers have the right to repair their own equipment.

For decades, America’s troops have faced a broken system that prevents mission-critical repairs, undermined our readiness, and is costing American taxpayers big time. The Army, Navy, and Air Force agree: our military needs to be able to repair its equipment. During today's National Defense Authorization Act markup, I’m fighting to make sure our servicemembers have the tools they need to do just that.

I am leading a commonsense, bipartisan amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would protect the freedom and independence of journalists who report on the Pentagon. Pete Hegseth is at the helm of the least transparent Pentagon in American history. Congress can and must step up to protect our First Amendment. 🇺🇸
