Russ Vought came to Congress to defend Trump's abomination of a budget. Didn't go well.

A man who took billions in government subsidies and pays less in taxes than you just became the first trillionaire. And 1 in 3 Americans can't afford to go to the doctor.
Elon Musk has become the world’s first trillionaire as SpaceX becomes a publicly traded company. Shares opened at $150, setting valuation at $1.96 trillion.

Part of the reason I got into politics was the experience we went through with our kids in the hospital. We can always do more when it comes to pediatric care, and I'm so inspired by Nolan's bravery to speak up and advocate for change — at 6 years old! bit.ly/4fAOk4g

Always great to have my family out in DC for the Congressional Baseball Game for charity (and very honored to be the Dem MVP!) Sadly no W for the Dems this year, but I think next year might be our year 👀

Too many communities have been forever changed by gun violence — including Louisville. During Gun Violence Awareness Month, we wear orange to honor the friends, loved ones, and neighbors we've lost to gun violence. We can and must do more to prevent these tragedies.

If Republicans want to look at waste, fraud, and abuse, let's start with Trump's billion dollar ballroom.

Trump thinks our tax dollars should serve him and only him. My amendments would have blocked funding for his special interest projects and put that money toward what our communities actually need.

There's so much good we could do with $70 billion. Just about anything would be better than giving it to ICE.

Republicans want another $70 billion for ICE. If we put that funding toward housing, we could get a roof over every veteran's head and probably end homelessness altogether. That's what my amendment would do.

This weekend, I joined our community for a Walk to Prevent Gun Violence. We wear orange to honor those we've lost to gun violence and as a symbol of our commitment to doing the work to end this epidemic once and for all.

Former State Sen. Dennis Parrett was a wonderful person who served our commonwealth for 12 years as a dedicated advocate for Hardin County — especially our students and children. He always did what he felt was right, had a great sense of humor, and never had a bad word for anyone. It was an honor to serve alongside him, and my heart is with Lisa and his family as we mourn his passing.

My office has seen the devastating impacts this policy has had on my constituents since it started. People have lost jobs, healthcare, and been put in unnecessary limbo. Today a judge ruled what we have all known from the start — this pause was illegal and arbitrary. USCIS must start adjudicating immediately.

Today, on what would have been Breonna Taylor's 33rd birthday, my heart is with her family and loved ones. Breonna was caring, ambitious, and funny — she brought people together, she took care of her community, and she touched so many lives. She should be alive to celebrate this birthday.

Today marks 10 years since Muhammad Ali passed — an icon, a champion, and a man whose competitive ferocity was matched only by his capacity for human compassion. His legacy both in and out of the ring live on for generations.

A true honor to join @HonorFlightBG at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial this morning. Showing up for our veterans is one of the most important things we can do, and we'll never forget what these Kentuckians sacrificed when they answered the call to serve our nation.

I can't thank @HonorFlightBG enough for all that they do for our veterans. I'll always cherish the memory of sharing this experience with my grandfather before he passed.

Rent, groceries, tuition, and gas add up — especially when you're just getting started. My Young Adult Tax Credit builds on the success we saw right here at home in Louisville to give young adults across the country a fair shot at success.

Happy Pride Month! Louisville wouldn't be Louisville without our LGBTQ neighbors and loved ones who make our city better in countless ways. During Pride Month and every month, we must continue to show up and fight for the equality and safety the LGBTQ community deserves.

Kentucky families haven’t stopped needing healthcare. Trump and Republicans just made it more expensive, so now fewer people can afford it. More sick people won’t see a doctor when they need to, and the rest of us will keep paying thousands for insurance.
More Americans are dropping out or being kicked off Obamacare health insurance for non-payment than in past years, according to data through April from half a dozen states that sell the plans themselves. reuters.com/legal/litigation…

Today, the court upheld what Republicans in Congress refuse to. Trump cannot use our tax dollars as a slush fund for his allies. We will keep fighting this.
