Recently, I spoke on the House floor alongside my colleague @RepBresnahan to honor Dr. Richard Alley, a great American and Pennsylvanian who passed away last month at 81. Dr. Alley was born in Berwick, in the center of my district, and dedicated his life to caring for his friends and neighbors as a physician and was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Dr. Alley had a distinguished career in medicine, serving as an attending physician and consultant for hospitals across eastern Pennsylvania, and taught at Drexel Medical School. Please join Congressman Bresnahan and I in offering condolences to Dr. Alley’s friends and family, and remember a man who gave generously to his community.

I had a great meeting with U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie and members of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Eastern PA, including Barry Schlouch of Schlouch Inc. and Marissa Bankert, President of Associated Builders and Contractors of Eastern PA. We discussed expanding access to apprenticeship programs and the need to end government-mandated project labor agreements. Thank you for joining me in Washington after the National Association of Builders and Contractors Legislative Conference.

Today, I spoke on the House floor in support of @RepPatFallon’s sponsored Anti-Fraud Resolution condemning actors seeking to defraud the United States government. Opposition to this bill is denying the existence of waste, fraud, and abuse. This resolution is pretty simple. It condemns fraudsters and recognizes that government-wide fraud and improper payment prevention reforms are necessary to improve the fiscal health of the United States. From LA to Minneapolis, from sea to shining sea, taxpayers are being forced to fund fraudsters in and out of our government. It is stealing from every American who works hard and pays taxes. Equally important, we need to stop these criminals that scam the American taxpayer.

Every single Democrat voted against securing the border. Why? As @RepMeuser points out, counting illegal immigrants in the census shifts representation and federal dollars away from American citizens.

Yesterday, I questioned experts from the CIA, U.S. Treasury, and others during my @FinancialCmte Subcommittee hearing on Chinese money laundering networks that are financing drug traffickers like the Sinaloa Cartel. These networks are laundering billions of dirty cartel dollars to fuel the fentanyl crisis. This is a highly sophisticated operation that is killing American citizens. President Trump has taken bold action to address the fentanyl crisis, reducing cross-border fentanyl trafficking by 56% in just the first few months of his administration by closing our southern border and designating drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. Watch my interview on @Newsmax where I break down our hearing, the impact of the Iranian regime’s reign of terror, and more.

For 115 days, Democrats refused to provide the funding needed to fully support the Department of Homeland Security. Today, Republicans in Congress sent legislation to President Trump’s desk to fully fund DHS. At the end of April, Republicans acted to reopen the rest of DHS and prevent further disruption to the Department’s critical functions, like TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. We made clear then that we would fully fund Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement to continue to secure the border, remove criminal illegal aliens, and restore the rule of law after four years of failed open-border policies. While Democrat leadership continues to oppose any funding to enforce our immigration laws, today we ensured that the men and women on the front lines have the funding and tools they need to protect the American people.

WATCH: @RepMeuser on how China uses Mexican cartels to launder money and drugs: “What's happening is that from China the so-called precursors of fentanyl are being shipped to Mexican cartels. Mexican cartels are developing fentanyl, shipping it to the U.S., making the sales take place. Within the U.S., the various players and actors there, both for the cartels and for some Chinese foreign nationals that are here, are laundering the money, taking the U.S. dollars they receive and converting it into pesos, for the most part, shipping those pesos back to Mexico, where Mexico then converts them again from pesos to Chinese currency, which goes back to China.” 📺⬇️

Funding for @DHSgov has been held up for over 100 days because the Democrats would rather endanger our national security than fund immigration enforcement. Over four years, nearly 15 million people entered our country illegally, and they're going to do everything they can to stop them from being deported. Watch my appearance on Mornings with Maria, where I outline the @HouseGOP plan to fully fund DHS. I also previewed my hearing today in the @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, where we will expose how Chinese foreign nationals are laundering money in the U.S. to fund the fentanyl trade.

On this day, 82 years ago, thousands of Americans landed on the beaches of Normandy in one of the most courageous military operations in history. Their valor, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom helped turn the tide of World War II and secure victory for the free world. Today, we honor the heroes of D-Day and remember the immense debt of gratitude we owe to the Greatest Generation.

I fully support the @HouseAppropsGOP’s decision to include @RepMichaelCloud’s bipartisan amendment to the FY 2027 Transportation and Housing bill blocking a requirement for automakers to install a “kill switch” in all new vehicles on American roads. This policy represented a massive government overreach and an invasion of every American’s property and privacy rights. Time to “kill the kill switch” for good.

It was great to join President @realDonaldTrump in the Oval Office today as he announced a $700 million investment for coal plants across the country and a new export terminal in California. Coal is critical to Pennsylvania’s economy, supporting 11,500 good-paying jobs across the Commonwealth. This is a major step in asserting America’s energy independence and managing energy prices for ratepayers. America needs clean, beautiful coal.
