The number one objective was to address Irans Nuclear abilities. Over the last 3 months, we have seen the administration take significant action to take out their ballistics, naval and drone capabilities. The objective is to get Irans nuclear materials and end their financing of terror proxies. For the first time in 47 years, there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

It was a pleasure to visit JPMorgan Chase’s headquarters at 270 Park Avenue and tour one of New York City’s most impressive buildings. We had a great discussion on the growing challenges posed by scams and fraud, and the steps financial institutions, government, and consumers can take to better protect against them. As these schemes become more sophisticated, staying informed and raising awareness is more important than ever. Thank you for the opportunity to learn more about these issues and the efforts underway to keep people safe from fraud.

Housing affordability remains a major challenge in the Hudson Valley and across the country. I was proud to discuss my Community Investment and Prosperity Act and the broader 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which will help expand investment, reduce barriers to development, and increase housing supply.

Families in the Hudson Valley face some of the highest costs of living anywhere in the country. This legislation recognizes economic reality and helps ensure taxpayers in high-cost areas like New York aren’t unfairly penalized simply because of where they live.

I applaud Chairman @Robert_Aderholt for adding report language to the LHHS bill designating advanced nursing programs as professional degrees. This will allow our nation's nurses to qualify for higher student loan limits, bolstering the nursing pipeline and expanding access to patient care. I thank the Chairman as well as the members of the @HouseAppropsGOP for prioritizing this policy. My bill, H.R. 6718, the Professional Student Degree Act, goes even further by designating physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistants, social workers, and other critical fields as professional degrees. As we work to pass broader legislation, the LHHS language is a meaningful and impactful step in the right direction.

Team Lawler was proud to join the Clarkstown community last Saturday for the street dedication of Lawrence O. Rose, a U.S. Army soldier with the 101st Airborne Division who gave his life serving our country during the Vietnam War. It was inspiring to see the community come together to honor his service, sacrifice, and lasting legacy.
