ICE has spent the last year finding new ways to block Congress from doing its job. The latest is a policy requiring advance notice and signed consent forms before members of Congress can speak to a single detainee during an oversight visit. If we can't speak to detainees without warning, ICE has time to move them, coach them on what to say, and make sure we never get the full picture of what is actually happening inside those facilities. We went to court and won the right to conduct unannounced visits. The moment @RepSaraJacobs and I exercised that right at Otay Mesa, they handed us a memo with this new policy, written that same day. Yesterday, I led 77 colleagues in demanding ICE reverse it. People in federal custody deserve to speak to their elected representatives. ICE does not get to stand in the way of that. latimes.com/politics/story/2…

Let’s talk about the Epstein Files and what Republicans are doing to make sure you never get the full truth about them. They’ve spent months running cover for Donald Trump, making sure no one in his Administration has to answer questions under oath about their relationship with Epstein or their handling of the files. It’s one of the most brazen cover-ups I’ve seen during my time in Congress. The Epstein survivors are still waiting for someone in this Administration to sit down under oath and tell the truth, and Republicans on the Oversight Committee are the ones making sure that never happens.

Not enough people are talking about this. Trump is trying to escape a $100 million dollar tax penalty, and Senate Republicans are helping him do it. You know about the $1.8 billion slush fund he tried to create to reward his political allies. They got so much pushback that they’ve halted that, at least for now. But what you probably don’t know is that Trump gave himself, his family, and his businesses complete immunity from IRS audits, past and future. Everyone focused on the slush fund, and almost nobody noticed the audit immunity. It’s still in place, and it cannot be allowed to stand.

The only people who love inflation are the ones that aren’t hurting because of it.
Jun 10
Reporter: Are you concerned, Mr. President, about the latest inflation number which came out this morning? Trump: No, I love it. I love the inflation.

Encouraging Americans to take out a loan to pay for the care they need is the WORST idea I’ve heard to address the health care crisis in this country. More than a third of American households already carry medical debt. We do not make the lives of the American people better by pushing them further into debt while they’re sick. This is irresponsible, this is disgraceful, and completely out of touch. How can we claim to be the greatest nation in the world when quality health care is out of reach for millions of our own people? nytimes.com/2026/06/11/busin…

If you care about the Epstein Files, you need to watch this reporting from the New York Times. The Trump Administration has done everything possible to avoid releasing them. The survivors deserve real justice, and this Administration is doing everything it can to stand in the way of that. It needs to stop. The survivors and the American people deserve the truth.

We have a President who has enriched himself and his family by at least $3.4 billion since taking office. A President who is trading thousands of stocks in companies that benefit from his own policies. A President who is selling pardons to donors and weaponizing the Justice Department against his enemies.

The American people are paying for all of it.

That is why @RepAOC, @RepJasonCrow, and I launched the End Corruption Caucus. This level of corruption has consequences, and we are going to make sure Trump faces them.

Let’s be clear about what the Trump Administration is trying to do. There are more than 65,000 TSA officers who keep our airports safe every single day, and they still don't receive the same basic pay, protections, and worker rights as other federal employees. These are the people that worked without a paycheck for 76 days during the government shutdown. So what is the Trump Administration trying to do? Revoke their union contract and the benefits they fought tooth and nail for. Federal employees should have the right to organize, to negotiate a livable wage, to access affordable child care, and to earn the sick and medical leave they deserve. I introduced an amendment today to make sure no money is used to strip these officers of theirs.

Last night, Republicans passed a bill to give funding to Trump's corrupt, self-serving agenda—yet nothing for Americans' top priorities. @RepMikeLevin breaks this down on this week's episode of The Fly-In, available later today.

Trump isn’t giving up on trying to pay the January 6 rioters. His own Justice Department put in writing that plans for the $1.8 billion “weaponization fund” wouldn’t move forward. Trump’s response was to go on national television and say, “I love the idea,” and that rioters “should be compensated.” Once again, the President is on television saying one thing and his own Justice Department is saying another. The police officers who defended the Capitol that day are still waiting for justice, and Trump is hellbent on finding ways to pay the people who attacked them. It’s disgraceful, and I’m doing everything I can to stop it. abcnews.com/Politics/trump-r…

My office is closely monitoring the November Fire on Camp Pendleton. We are in contact with local officials and will continue to provide updates as the situation develops. Evacuation warnings have been issued in Oceanside. Those who need to evacuate should head to El Camino High School at 400 Rancho Del Oro. To the firefighters and first responders on the ground, I join a very grateful community in thanking you for all that you do to keep us safe. If you are in the area, please follow all evacuation orders and guidance from local fire authorities.

Two things to catch today. First, the Congressional Baseball Game is tonight at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET, and I’ll be out on the field. It might be Republicans vs. Democrats between the lines, but we’re all there for the same goal of raising money for charities serving children and families. In a town this divided, baseball is one of the rare things that still brings both sides together, and that’s worth something. Watch on FS1 or C-SPAN. Second, I joined my colleagues @RepGregLandsman and @RepVeasey on their podcast, The Fly-In, where we talked about tonight’s game and much more. Full episode drops today wherever you get your podcasts. @NewDemCoalition

I am the proud parent of two kids in Title I public schools. I see every day what that funding means. It means smaller class sizes, more counselors, tutors, teachers’ aides, and a real shot at success for kids who would otherwise get left behind. Our children and our children’s children are counting on us to get this right.

You can’t outrun your own lies. Trump promised no more wars. He started a war in Iran that Congress never approved. Now, 50,000 service members are in harm’s way, and at least $29 million of your taxpayer dollars have been spent on a war Trump swore he’d never start.
Trump: "I didn't guarantee no war." Trump guaranteeing no more wars:
